Bill and Sharon Miller

In 1981, MTV launched and BCG Creations (asi/37693) began making lapel pins. Only the latter has aged gracefully as co-owners Bill and Sharon Miller adapt to the unprecedented pace of the digital age.

“Because we have good ratings and reputation, our clients expect miracles. The speed of delivery has certainly accelerated over the years, but our clients know we’ll come through. The stress is worth making people happy,” Sharon says.

Despite being in business for more than 35 years, BCG Creations isn’t slowing down. In 2016, the supplier was named one of Counselor’s Fastest Growing Canadian Companies. “Our clients bring us great ideas, and we go to China to find new products as well. You have to evolve and keep on top of things in this ever-changing industry,” Sharon says.

With their 26-year-old son Zack joining the business last year, the Millers hope to pass on their creativity, desire and (eventually) company. “Bill wants to retire now, but there’s no way,” Sharon laughs. “On the first day of retirement, I’d be sitting at my computer answering my clients.”
