After a huge year of growth in 2020, revenue at the Waukegan, IL-based distributor fell 10.2% last year. It’s no secret why; the company points to a steep decrease in PPE sales (it accounted for over 30% of all sales in 2020, compared to 7% in 2021), though it also grew its promo revenue by 30% year over year. Since a private equity-backed investment group, led by HALO founder Lou Weisbach, closed its acquisition of Overture in 2021, the firm has committed to diversifying services and recently launched a Diverse Supplier Portal to increase its Tier 2 diversity spend.
