PSI 2026 Achieves Guinness World Record

During PSI’s final iteration in Düsseldorf, the international promo community amassed a record number of branded products into a single collective presentation.

Key Takeaways

• At PSI 2026, the promo industry achieved a Guinness World Record for the most brands represented in one promotional merchandise display in an attempt organized by Steven Baumgaertner.

• The successful record was a fitting celebration of PSI in Düsseldorf, Germany, before the show moves to Cologne next year.

There was more to see at PSI 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, than just trending products and eye-catching displays – there was a Guinness World Record live in the making.

Ahead of the event in early January, Steven Baumgaertner – CEO of German distributor cyber-Wear, part of Cybergroup International (asi/175537) – organized a world record attempt for the most brands represented in a single promotional merchandise display.

PSI World Show

The promotional products industry achieved a Guinness World Record for most brands represented in a collective presentation at PSI 2026.

And the industry showed up in response. PSI attendees brought logoed products that were registered and catalogued onsite, with the final presentation totaling 511 brands to achieve the official record recognition.

“Creating the world record was our way of turning a trade show moment into a historic industry statement,” said Baumgaertner. “I’m incredibly proud and grateful to everyone who contributed. It shows that when our industry moves together, we can achieve something truly extraordinary.”

It was a fitting finale for PSI Show’s tenure in Düsseldorf, where the show has been hosted by the Promotional Product Service Institute (PSI) – a strategic partner of ASI and U.K.-based Sourcing City through PromoAlliance – for the past six decades. Next year’s PSI Show will be held from January 12 to 14 in Cologne, Germany.
