Overture, which has a Silver rating from sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis and recently reached a milestone of planting 100,000 trees in partnership with Ecologi, said Kelly will spearhead sustainability efforts within the company.

Kelly has an MBA in sustainability and environmental compliance from Southern New Hampshire University. His previous experience includes energy consulting for homeowners, according to Overture.

The minority-owned and woman-led firm said Kelly will drive forward its aggressive year-over-year improvement goals and play a pivotal role in ensuring that Overture continues making demonstrable progress in the ESG space.“There is so much we still want to get done on Overture’s ESG journey,” said Jo Gilley, CEO and a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of the most influential people in the promo industry. “We decided the best way to make progress was to hire someone to drive, and Andrew was a perfect fit. He is an experienced project manager, passionate about sustainability, and a skilled trainer, who will be able to ensure all our employees are part of our progress.”

In the past year, Overture said it has made significant investments in sustainability-related improvements at its headquarters, including the installation of smart LED lighting to reduce energy consumption; an automated screen-print reclamation system, which reduces water and chemicals required to remove ink and emulsion from screens so they can be reused; two water bottle refill stations to eliminate single-use plastics at its headquarters; and a robust recycling program, largely focused on corrugate materials, with an annual recycling volume of 140 tons.

Based on reported 2023 North American promotional product revenue of $121.1 million, Overture Promotions ranked 22nd on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
