Reflecting on a Summer of Growth at ASI

As my internship at ASI comes to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had as the People Experience Intern. This summer has been filled with meaningful learning, personal growth, and unforgettable moments that have shaped both my professional and personal development.

One of the most impactful parts of my experience was my involvement with the Diversity & Inclusion Council. Being part of this passionate group deepened my understanding of what it truly means to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace. I had the privilege of helping organize the Global Day of Friendship event—an inspiring celebration that brought together colleagues from across departments to honor connection, community, and belonging.

A standout moment for me was contributing to the planning of our Ice Cream Social networking event. Designed to celebrate the relationships that strengthen our workplace, this event was a joyful reminder of how small gestures can create meaningful impact. From brainstorming ideas to seeing the event come to life, I felt proud to be part of something that resonated with so many.

Throughout my internship, I’ve gained valuable skills in communication, collaboration, and adaptability. I’ve learned that even the smallest contributions can help build a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I’m incredibly grateful to the mentors, teammates, and friends who supported me along the way.

As I move forward in my career, I’ll carry with me the lessons, relationships, and memories from my time at ASI. This experience has not only prepared me for what’s next—it’s inspired me to continue championing inclusive and people-centered workplaces wherever I go.
