The ASI Diversity and Inclusion Council is committed to creating an inclusive and positive workplace that encourages and appreciates diversity. Our mission is for every employee to enjoy a sense of belonging, regardless of background and experience, and to feel empowered to succeed. We strive to promote personal growth and build trust at ASI, with a positive influence on the industry we serve. Regardless of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, physical ability, veteran status and everything in between, the Diversity and Inclusion Council is committed to listening, learning and acting to ensure equitable treatment and representation of all.
Guiding Principles
- Leadership: ASI leaders complete professional development courses so they can effectively manage diverse workgroups and recognize, reward and coach employees with unique strengths and needs. We hold leadership accountable for promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion among their teams.
- Recruitment: Develop and implement diversity sourcing, hiring and interviewing best practices at all levels. We are also committed to recruiting and hiring diverse candidates for our internship programs to establish a diverse candidate pool for future full-time positions.
- Education: Educate employees in what it means to be an ally, by eliminating implicit bias and sharing methods for confronting racism. Our ultimate goal is to increase awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion principles and ensure all employees are empowered and have whatever they need to succeed.
- Equality: Promote equality by analyzing demographics based on our geographic location and position requirements and awareness of pay equity regardless of gender or race. Regularly survey employees on our diversity and inclusion efforts and evaluate our processes to ensure true best practices.
