The veteran pair overseeing long-running distributor Nadel have grown revenue by 62% since Debbie Abergel’s appointment to chief strategy officer in 2017. Revenue did slide more than 8% in 2023 (attributable to overall economic difficulties and recession fears, they say) which also prompted the distributor to drop two spots on this year’s Counselor Top 40. The 70-year-old company, started by Craig’s great uncle Jack, has a rich history. With its 2022 rebrand, Abergel and Nadel have positioned the firm as creative experts with global reach (20 international locations, including the U.K.) and a deep commitment to sustainability, as evidenced by the distributor’s EcoVadis Silver Medal rating. They also brought on industry veteran Paul Emmer as vice president of revenue to start off 2024. With slightly lower influence scores from their Power 50 counterparts, Nadel and Abergel slip one spot on this year’s list.
